A 76-year-old paraglider dies after falling into the sea in Finistère

On Saturday afternoon, a man in his seventies from the Rennes region fell into the sea during a paragliding flight in the Bay of Douarnenez.

A 76-year-old man died late Saturday afternoon, June 13, following a paragliding accident in Finistère. The victim, from the Rennes area, had taken off from the town of Plonévez-Porzay before falling into the sea at Pointe de Trefeuntec, in the Bay of Douarnenez. The alert was raised around 17:40 p.m. at the Corsen Regional Operational Surveillance and Rescue Center (CROSS). The exact circumstances of the fall remain unknown at this time.
