A loan of 300.000 euros granted to Pierre Lescure

The case dates back to 2024. At that time, Pierre Lescure allegedly sought financial assistance from a friend and publisher, Joëlle Losfeld, requesting a loan of 300.000 euros. According to reports, Pierre Lescure owed money to the French tax authorities at the time.

For her part, Joëlle Losfeld agreed to financially support Pierre Lescure with an inheritance she received after her mother's death. This sum was initially intended to allow her to create a new publishing house. She explains that she made several payments to Pierre Lescure, with the promise that he would reimburse her the following year so that she could launch her project.

Joëlle Losfeld takes legal action after several broken promises

Faced with the lack of full reimbursement, Joëlle Losfeld decided in March 2025 to initiate legal proceedings. Tired of seeing her requests go unanswered despite the commitments made, Joëlle Losfeld chose to take the matter to court.

In this case, Pierre Lescure has already repaid €210.000. However, the court ordered him to repay the remaining €120.000. To facilitate the payment of this sum, a payment schedule has been established.

A deadline not met by Pierre Lescure

The final payment scheduled in this plan was due in August 2026. However, Pierre Lescure reportedly failed to adhere to this schedule. To date, he has only repaid €35.000 to Joëlle Losfeld of the remaining amount owed.

Under these circumstances, Joëlle Losfeld turned to bailiffs to enforce the court order. She is now requesting that a seizure order be issued against Pierre Lescure's assets, as well as his salary.

Pierre Lescure's income at the heart of the case
