The reform of the nursing profession officially comes into effect. A decree published on December 26 in the Official Journal fundamentally redefines the roles of state-registered nurses, granting them direct access to patients, regulated prescribing powers, and the possibility, for the first time, of conducting an independent nursing consultation.
