Le président américain Donald Trump He stated that the conflict with Iran could last another two to three weeks, while asserting that the United States had already won the war militarily.

In a telephone interview with a radio host, Donald Trump stated that "time is not critical" for Washington, suggesting that operations could continue without a specific timetable. He also declined to say definitively whether the ceasefire with Tehran was still in effect.

Asked about a possible resumption of hostilities following reported Iranian strikes against the United Arab Emirates, the US president stated that, "one way or another," the United States was winning. He added that two scenarios were possible: either a favorable agreement would be reached, or a military victory would be achieved without difficulty.

Donald Trump also claimed that US forces had inflicted heavy naval losses on Iran, citing the destruction of numerous ships. He indicated that eight more armed speedboats had recently been neutralized.

The president also asserted that the United States exercised control over the Strait of Hormuz, while acknowledging the persistent risks to maritime navigation, including the threat of mines that could target high-value vessels.

In his statements, he also addressed the internal situation in Iran, suggesting that civilians could arm themselves and turn against the authorities, without providing further details.

These remarks come as regional tensions remain high since the start of the US and Israeli strikes against Iran on February 28. Despite a ceasefire established on April 8 thanks to Pakistani mediation and subsequently extended, no lasting agreement has yet been reached between the parties.
