Emily in Paris: Lily Collins confirms that season 6 will be the last, filming currently underway in Greece

It's official, and Lily Collins herself announced it in a video posted on Instagram in collaboration with Netflix this Thursday, May 21st: the sixth season of Emily in Paris will also be the last. "After six unforgettable years playing Emily Cooper, I'm here to announce that this sixth season will be the last," the actress says to the camera, promising "everything fans love about the show" and "one final chapter in Emily's journey." Filming for this final season has just begun in Greece, where season 5 ended, with Gabriel working as a private chef on a Greek yacht, before moving on to Monaco and then returning to Paris to "bring things full circle."

Six years, a global phenomenon, and a grand farewell

Launched in 2020, Emily in Paris follows a young American digital marketing specialist sent to a Parisian agency for a project, embarking on a series of romances and professional adventures that have captivated millions of viewers worldwide. The series notably launched the career of French actor Lucas Bravo and revived the career of Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu. Its creator, Darren Star, hailed it as "the journey of a lifetime" in a Netflix statement. "Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been incredible. We can't wait to share this final chapter with you. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives, inspiring your travel dreams and your love of Paris," he wrote. Lily Collins, for her part, promises "one last epic adventure" and a season broadcast "in the chicest way possible." The release date has not yet been announced.
