Air France announced on Sunday the extension of its flight suspensions to and from several Middle Eastern destinations due to US and Israeli strikes against Iran and regional tensions. The affected routes are those to Tel Aviv, Beirut, Dubai, and Riyadh.
In a statement, the company specifies that these suspensions will remain in effect until Tuesday, March 3rd inclusive. It indicates that it will provide further information regarding the possible resumption of flights to these destinations at a later date, depending on how the situation develops on the ground.
Resumption of activity is conditional upon the security situation evolving
The company emphasizes that any resumption of operations will be subject to a security assessment. Passengers affected by these cancellations will be able to benefit from "appropriate commercial measures," according to the company.
The strikes in the region have led to the closure of several airspaces and the cancellation of hundreds of flights to or from the Middle East, particularly affecting Gulf airlines.
