Men's semi-finals: expected confrontations

On the Philippe-Chatrier court, from 2:30 p.m., the world number 14 Carlos Alcaraz faces Italian Lorenzo Musetti, seeded number 8. Alcaraz, the defending champion, leads 5-1 in their previous meetings, with recent victories in Monte Carlo and Rome.

At 19:00 PM, world number 1 Jannik Sinner will face Novak Djokovic, sixth seed. Sinner has won four of their last five encounters, but Djokovic, with his 100th victory at Roland-Garros and a recent title in Geneva, remains a formidable opponent.

Other events of the day

On the Suzanne-Lenglen court, starting at 11:00 a.m., the men's wheelchair tennis semi-final will see the Japanese Tokito Oda (world number 1) face off against the Spaniard Martín de la Puente (number 3).

Court Simonne-Mathieu will host the women's doubles semifinals, with pairs such as Danilina/Krunic, Eikeri/Hozumi, Andreeva/Shnaider and Errani/Paolini vying for a place in the final.

Coming this weekend

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 7, the women's singles final will pit world number 1 Aryna Sabalenka against American Coco Gauff. Sabalenka eliminated the three-time defending champion. Iga swiatek in the semi-final, while Gauff dominated the Frenchwoman Lois Boisson.

The men's singles final will be held on Sunday, June 8, with the winners of Friday's semi-finals competing.
