Carlos Alcaraz continues his exceptional adventure at Roland Garros. This Friday, the young Spanish prodigy qualified for his second consecutive final on the Parisian clay after the withdrawal of the Italian Lorenzo Musetti, injured in his left thigh.
The match, played on Court Philippe-Chatrier, lived up to expectations over just two short sets. Musetti surprised everyone by winning the first set 6-4, thanks to his attacking and precise play. But Alcaraz, mentally strong, equalized after a well-managed tiebreak in the second set (7-6 [3]). The dynamic then changed completely.
In a one-sided third set, the Spaniard inflicted a 6-0 run on his visibly weakened opponent. Musetti, physically hampered, tried to continue but ended up throwing in the towel in the fourth set, trailing 2-0.

After the match, Carlos Alcaraz reacted soberly: "I felt something was wrong with Lorenzo. It's always sad to see a player retire. I wish him a speedy recovery. For my part, I'm ready to give my all on Sunday."
