A high-flying final between the two best in the world

The final pitted the top two players in the WTA rankings against each other, a first for the first time in seven years at a Grand Slam. Sabalenka, with her powerful form, won the first set in a tiebreak (7-6) after an intense start. However, Coco Gauff turned the tables by dominating the second set 6-2, capitalizing on her opponent's mistakes.
