The Chérie 25 channel will disappear to make way for a new channel, RMC Life, starting Wednesday, October 1st, at 6 a.m. on TNT channel 25. This transition follows the acquisition of Chérie 25 by CMA Media, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM group headed by Rodolphe Saadé, and approved by Arcom, the regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communications.

A decision validated by Arcom

Arcom was contacted on May 20, 2025, regarding CMA Media's proposed takeover of Chérie HD, the company that publishes Chérie 25. On June 5, the authority was also consulted to approve the channel's name change to "RMC Life." After review, Arcom gave its approval, formalizing both the change in shareholding and the new name of the service.

RMC Life: a channel focused on well-being and conviviality

RMC Life positions itself as an "inspiring and positive" channel, aimed at women and families, with programming focused on well-being, conviviality, and women's themes. This new direction aims to attract a broad audience, particularly those aged 25-49, and to offer a refreshing alternative in the French audiovisual landscape.

This acquisition allows CMA Media to consolidate its presence in the audiovisual sector. The group already has a significant portfolio of channels, and the launch of RMC Life allows it to diversify its offerings and attract new audiences.

A gradual transition for viewers

For Chérie 25 subscribers and viewers, the transition to RMC Life will be gradual. The program schedule will be adapted to reflect the channel's new identity, with a focus on positive and inspiring content. Starting October 1, RMC Life will be available on channel 25, marking the end of Chérie 25 and the beginning of a new era for the CMA Media group.
