While the future of Téléfoot seemed uncertain in recent months, the long-running TF1 program will indeed be back this fall. Broadcast every Sunday at 11 a.m. for over fifty years, the football magazine presented by Grégoire Margotton will continue its run starting September 6th.
Even better, TF1 and L'Équipe announced a groundbreaking partnership this Thursday centered around the Téléfoot brand. Following TF1's Sunday program, a new magazine dedicated to football news and Ligue 1 will air on the L'Équipe channel. Also presented by Grégoire Margotton, this program will bring together journalists, commentators, and analysts from both groups, including Bixente Lizarazu.
For TF1, this agreement further strengthens the visibility of one of its most iconic brands. "This agreement illustrates the strength of the Téléfoot brand," said Julien Millereux, TF1 Group's Director of Sports. At L'Équipe, Vincent Broussard believes this new program will enrich an already extensive editorial offering focused on football.
This marks a new stage for Téléfoot, which is now extending its reach beyond TF1. Following its broadcast on the L'Équipe channel, the new magazine will also be available on the TF1+ platform, while both groups will continue to benefit from Ligue 1 footage thanks to an agreement with LFP Media.
