Launched in June 2025, the T18 channel will begin its second season with Yves Calvi among its main recruits. The journalist succeeds Laurent Ruquier on the Saturday night cultural slot and will present a new show entitled At Calvi.
The program will be broadcast every Saturday from 20:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m. Yves Calvi arrives on T18 while retaining his presence on LCI, where he remains one of the faces of the news channel.
Yves Calvi takes over from At Ruquier's
With At CalviT18 maintains a program dedicated to culture, in continuity with At Ruquier's, previously hosted by Laurent Ruquier. Yves Calvi presented his arrival as a choice consistent with his career path and personal references. Speaking to the press, he stated: "I'm arriving in a world that feels familiar to me."The journalist also explained his connection to the cultural world: "I am the son of an artist. It's a world I know, but one that can still impress me.".
T18 wants to establish its brand
The channel's boss, Christopher Baldelli, defends the development of T18 with the idea that "Television is not dead yet."The still-new channel is looking to solidify its schedule after its launch and establish recognizable programs for its second season. The arrival of Yves Calvi gives T18 a well-known name in the media landscape, associated with news, debates, and interviews. His Saturday night show is now expected to be the channel's cultural programming slot.
Laurent Ruquier is turning more towards theatre
Laurent Ruquier, who occupied that slot with At Ruquier'sHe will now devote more time to theater. This decision follows the acquisition, in the spring, of two Parisian theaters. His departure will not disrupt T18's entire schedule. The channel will retain a large portion of its programming, while making a few adjustments for its new season.
Julie Andrieu and Chloé Nabédian also on air
Julie Andrieu will continue Julie's Travelsparticularly in Spain. The food journalist will also talk about... "The Restaurant Saga" Throughout history, in a program dedicated to culinary culture, Chloé Nabédian will present a new weekly show focusing on the daily lives of animals.
