M6 launches “Wanted: Catch Me If You Can”, a nationwide manhunt featuring 16 celebrities on the run

The M6 Group is preparing for the arrival in France of Wanted: Catch me if you can, adaptation of the international format Most WantedThe program will be broadcast soon on M6 and M6+. The format, already launched in the Netherlands, Germany and Hungary, is based on a simple principle: transforming a manhunt into an interactive television game, with celebrities tracked over several days across France.

In France, the show will be produced by Studio 89, the internal production subsidiary of the M6 Group.

16 celebrities locked up, then released into the wild

The program will begin in a secret location somewhere in France. Sixteen celebrities will be locked in a “prison”, under the supervision of three other celebrities, tasked with playing the role of “guards”.

When the cell doors open, the 16 participants will become fugitives. Their mission: to evade the guards for four days.

The fugitives will have to manage without money, without a phone, and without their usual points of reference. They will have to find ways to move around, where to sleep, how to feed themselves, and above all, how to remain untraceable.

One element will complicate their escape: they will be wearing orange jumpsuits, which are difficult to conceal.

Three guards to find all the fugitives

Facing the 16 fugitives, the three guards will have a clear objective: to find them before the end of the escape.

To conduct the manhunt, they will have a vehicle equipped with technological tools, including drones and GPS trackers. The game will take the form of a televised manhunt, organized on a national scale.

The public will be able to directly influence the game

The peculiarity of Wanted: Catch me if you can will be its interactive feature. Viewers will not just be spectators: they will be able to participate in the game's progress.

Thanks to a dedicated phone number, everyone will be able to choose whether to help the guards or the fugitives.

The public will be able to provide clues to the guards to help them locate the celebrities on the run. They will also be able to warn the fugitives, help them cover their tracks, or prolong their escape.

A launch coming soon on M6 and M6+

Wanted: Catch me if you can is presented as a large-scale escape game, combining chase, humor, celebrities and audience participation.

The broadcast date, the cast of the 16 fugitives, and the identities of the three guards have not yet been announced. The program will air soon on M6 and M6+, with the official hashtag #WANTEDM6.
