Following the announcement of the cancellation of Questions for a Champion during the week, another piece of news has shaken France Télévisions. It was learned yesterday that Laurence Boccolini has been removed from the popular France 2 program Les Enfants de la télé , which she had hosted since 2022. And we know her replacement! According to information revealed by Le Parisien , the channel's management has decided to entrust the presentation of the show to Faustine Bollaert starting this fall.
Already hosting the daily show " Ça commence aujourd'hui" on France 2, Faustine Bollaert will now combine both programs. The public broadcasting group is thus banking on a strong figure in its daytime lineup, known for attracting a wide audience with her kind and empathetic tone.
This decision comes amid a strategic readjustment of France 2's programming. The channel aims to strengthen the cohesion of its flagship presenters around heritage formats. The show, launched in the late 1990s by Arthur on TF1 before returning to France 2 in 2017, retains strong nostalgic and humorous appeal.
Laurence Boccolini reacts: “ In this complicated time for me, I wanted to thank those who cover me with their love"
On Monday, Laurence Boccolini spoke out for the first time since the announcement of her dismissal. In a story posted on Instagram , the 61-year-old presenter shared a touching message, thanking the many people who have shown her their support since the information was revealed: "During this somewhat unusual and complicated time for me, I wanted to thank those who have been showering me with love, friendship and kindness since this morning ," she wrote.
The presenter went on to mention the many messages she received from colleagues, friends, former collaborators and members of the public: "My friends, my peers, my mentors, my colleagues from other channels, my HMC and technical teams, my former bosses, my fellow actors and musicians, and so many guests of the show that I didn't think I would be so touched by this news..."
In a more personal moment, Laurence Boccolini also shared a childhood memory: "When I was 10 years old, my favorite t-shirt was a Sarah Kay design that showed a little girl and her cat with the caption: 'It's good to be loved. It's good to be needed.'"
Laurence Boccolini, former presenter of The Weakest Link , Money Drop , and Everyone Wants to Take My Place , joined Les Enfants de la télé in 2022 after Laurent Ruquier's departure. Her version, more subdued and less focused on the caustic humor of the early days, struggled to regain its former ratings, fluctuating between 900,000 and 1,2 million viewers on Sunday afternoons.
