The day after the concert, M6 and RTL announced the total amount raised: €1,427,285 . This sum was collected thanks to the generosity of the public during this exceptional evening. The proceeds from the event will go to the Fondation de France to help those affected by the fires. The list of artists who performed at the concert was particularly impressive. Gims, Pascal Obispo, Zazie, Renaud, -M-, Julien Clerc, Bénabar, Gaëtan Roussel, Axel Bauer, Gauvain Sers, Jeanne Mas, Natasha St-Pier, Superbus, Helena, Cali, Ycare, David & Jonathan, and Noé Preszow were among those who participated. Several generations of French music came together on the same stage to support the victims.
A packed Arkéa Arena for the evening
The mobilization had begun well before the live broadcast. The 10,000 tickets initially offered for the concert sold out within hours of going on sale. Around a hundred more tickets were then made available, bringing the announced capacity to approximately 10,100 spectators . The evening was hosted by Julien Courbet, accompanied by Élodie Gossuin and Éric Jean-Jean. The choice of the Bordeaux metropolitan area was particularly symbolic following the devastating fires that had ravaged the Gironde region. The concert was organized in just a few weeks thanks to the combined efforts of the artists, technical teams, entertainment professionals, firefighters, and volunteers.
Julien Courbet wants to monitor the use of the money
A few hours before the concert, Julien Courbet promised to personally monitor the use of the donations . "I'm going to call them every two weeks to find out where the money has gone ," he assured them. The Fondation de France is responsible for managing and distributing the funds raised. Julien Courbet became deeply involved in this fundraising effort after being affected by the devastation caused by the fires in the Gironde region. Along with Pascal Obispo and Éric Jean-Jean, he helped organize the concert, which was put together on extremely short notice.
Cyril Hanouna had covered the 300,000 euro production cost.
The production funding was also significantly addressed. Cyril Hanouna decided to cover the concert's production costs through H2O Productions. The estimated cost of €300,000 was not to be billed to M6. This financial support meant that the charity would not have to bear the program's production costs. Artists and presenters also agreed to participate in the event free of charge.
RTL had overhauled its schedule as early as August 12th
The mobilization in support of the fire victims had begun several weeks earlier. On August 12, RTL made an exceptional change to its schedule , handing the airwaves over to Julien Courbet. The program notably gave a voice to volunteers and ordinary citizens who had participated in fighting the fires or provided assistance to those affected. The concert on August 27 was the culmination of this mobilization. More than 1,4 million euros to help the victims
All proceeds from the Solidarité Incendies concert are donated to the Fondation de France.
