A major benefit concert will be held on August 27th at the Arkéa Arena in Floirac, near Bordeaux, to raise funds for the victims of the wildfires that struck several French regions this summer. According to CGTV, Cyril Hanouna, whose company H2O Productions is producing the event for M6, has decided to waive the cost to the channel and cover the production costs, estimated at €300,000.
Dubbed SOS Solidarity Firefighters , the event will be broadcast live during prime time on M6, M6+, and RTL. Julien Courbet will host the show pro bono alongside Éric Jean-Jean. Several artists have already announced their participation, including Pascal Obispo, Zazie, Renaud, -M-, Superbus, Gaëtan Roussel, Axel Bauer, Natasha St-Pier, Jeanne Mas, and Bénabar. More names are expected to be added to the lineup.
A production estimated at 300,000 euros, funded by Cyril Hanouna
According to CGTV, H2O Productions will therefore cover the production costs, estimated at €300,000, without billing M6. The aim is to allow the operation to focus as much of the funds raised as possible on helping the victims. This mobilization comes after the major fires that affected several French regions, particularly in the Southwest, where families had to be evacuated and some lost their homes.
Throughout the evening, viewers will be able to make donations to benefit those affected by the fires. The funds will be collected and managed by the Fondation de France, with the option to support victims in the Southwest, the Southeast, or more broadly, all the affected regions. Artists, presenters, and production teams will thus mobilize on August 27th around a common goal: to raise as much money as possible to help the French people impacted by the fires.
