Fort Boyard - Due to the novelty factor, Cyril Féraud delivers the best launch of the game in years

For his first evening with Cyril Féraud at the helm, Fort Boyard gathered 2,754 million viewers on France 2, representing an 18,1% audience share between 20:50 p.m. and 22:30 p.m. The second part retained 2,47 million viewers, for a 15,0% audience share.

It’s very good start for the summer season. The program clearly surpasses the launches of recent seasons. This score can be explained by the curiosity factor, and will therefore need to be confirmed throughout the season.

2026 beats 2025, 2024 and 2023

By comparison, the 2026 launch is significantly larger than that of 2025. Last year, the first episode attracted 2,059 million viewers and a 15,6% audience share. This year, Fort Boyard has therefore gained approximately 695,000 viewers and 2,5 percentage points in audience share.

Compared to the 2024 launch, the difference is also significant: the first episode of that season attracted 2,067 million viewers, representing a 12,9% audience share. The 2026 launch therefore draws approximately 687,000 more viewers and sees a 5,2 percentage point increase.

Even compared to the stronger season of 2023, Cyril Féraud's launch remains superior. The first Fort Boyard of 2023 drew 2,404 million viewers, representing a 15,7% audience share. In 2026, the show gained approximately 350,000 viewers and 2,4 percentage points compared to its launch.

A score above average

The ratings for this first 2026 season are also above the seasonal averages of recent years. In 2025, Fort Boyard averaged 1,899 million viewers and a 13,6% audience share; in 2024, 1,906 million and 12,6%; and in 2023, 2,323 million and 15,3%. With 2,754 million viewers and an 18,1% share, the 2026 launch thus outperforms the averages of 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, and even 2020 in terms of audience share. In terms of total viewers, it has practically returned to the 2020 average of 2,749 million.
