Luis Enrique ahead of Bayern-PSG: "Tomorrow, we will try to overcome a sensational team, the strongest we have faced."

On the eve of Paris Saint-Germain's trip to Munich, Luis Enrique emphasized the magnitude of the challenge awaiting his team against Bayern. The Spanish coach believes PSG will face one of the strongest teams they have encountered so far, while also presenting this match as an opportunity for his squad to progress. "Tomorrow, we're going to play in Munich and we're going to try to be more competitive than ever! Tomorrow, we're going to try to overcome a team that plays sensationally, surely the strongest we've ever faced."

Luis Enrique also compared this approach to that of Rafael Nadal when he discussed his matches against Roger Federer and Novak DjokovicAccording to him, adversity at the highest level should serve as a driving force: “Rafa Nadal once said that at one point in his career, his matches against Federer and Djokovic were a motivation for him… That’s what we want; we admire Bayern, but it’s a motivation to be better.”

The PSG coach also emphasized his team's ability to overcome difficult moments during a match. He recalled a turbulent period to defend his players' reaction and character. “We know how to manage difficult periods. We were down 1-0, then they came back to 2-2. Then we were up 5-2… then it was chaos. And then 5-4. And people were worried? Worried about what? We showed who we are! We can still improve!”

Will PSG, the reigning European champions, qualify for a second consecutive Champions League final? Find out this Wednesday. Kick-off at 21:00 PM on Canal+.
