The former English footballer David Beckham was elevated to the rank of Knight Bachelor During a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, David Beckham was officially knighted. King Charles III bestowed the title upon him by touching his shoulders with the blade of a sword, in accordance with traditional protocol.

"This is probably the moment I'm most proud of."Beckham said after the ceremony. "Throughout my career, I've been fortunate enough to win what I've won and achieve what I've done, but receiving an honor like this, being knighted, surpasses anything I could have imagined."
An exceptional sporting career and services rendered to society
The knighthood recognizes not only his sporting achievements but also his humanitarian work. Beckham has been an active partner of UNICEF for over twenty years and has supported campaigns against malaria. He also played a key role in securing the 2012 Summer Olympics for London.
On the sporting front, Beckham remains the only English player to have scored in three different World Cups. He was a key member of Manchester United's victorious 1999 team, simultaneously winning the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the Champions League. With 115 caps for the England national team, 59 of them as captain, he ranks among the most iconic players in the history of English football.
After leaving Manchester United in 2003, he played for Real Madrid, the Los Angeles Galaxy, and Paris Saint-Germain. Today, he is a co-owner of Inter Miami in Major League Soccer.

David Beckham's knighthood was announced in June as part of the King's Birthday Honours list, which recognizes outstanding contributions to British life and is also awarded on the occasion of the New Year.
