This Thursday, alternating precipitation and clear spells are expected across the country. While the south-eastern regions will experience showers and snowfall from 1100 metres in the morning, a gradual improvement will set in during the day. In the north, gusts of wind, reaching up to 80 km/h on the Channel coast, will mark the day.
The minimum temperatures will be between 2 and 8°C in most regions, already reaching 12°C on the Mediterranean coasts. While the south-east will be under rain, particularly in the PACA region, the Alps and the Jura will see snow at low altitudes. On the other hand, in the north-west, the sky will be variable, between clouds and clear spells.
In the afternoon, the westerly wind remains moderate in the southeast, giving way to beautiful clearings. In the Alps, a few snow showers persist above 1500 meters. In the north, rain accompanied by gusts will sweep the Channel coast, while the south of the Loire will benefit from calmer conditions and a certain mildness. The maximums, 2 to 5°C higher than seasonal norms, will fluctuate between 7°C in the north and 14°C in the southeast.
The north-eastern quarter, particularly Hauts-de-France, will experience rain accompanied by strong winds. In the north-west, new weak disturbances are expected. Further south, calm will set in with clear spells extending to the Mediterranean, despite some breezes.
