On the road network, the situation remains just as complicated. The A63 motorway remains closed for a large section between Bordeaux and southern Gironde due to the spreading fires. Diversion routes have been set up via the A62, A65, and A64 motorways, while authorities are asking motorists to avoid the area to keep the roads open for emergency services.

These traffic measures aim to ensure the safety of passengers and facilitate the work of the thousands of firefighters battling the blazes. Smoke, the proximity of the flames to railway infrastructure, and numerous evacuations make a return to normal service impossible at this stage.
