Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron have sold their family residence in Le Touquet, the Villa Monéjan, for an estimated €3,7 million. This Anglo-Norman residence, located in the city center, belonged to Brigitte Macron's family, who had inherited it from her parents. The sale also includes the real estate agency and the clothing store located on the ground floor, whose owners paid rent to the presidential couple.
The decision to sell is said to be motivated by a lack of privacy and security constraints. The villa, which is very exposed and regularly monitored by police officers, was heavily overlooked and had several access points, making it difficult to protect. The Macron couple now want to move to a more discreet and quieter location within the seaside resort.
According to several local sources, a new residence is already in sight, potentially with a sea view, in a more secluded area, such as Allée des Mésanges or Allée des Fauvettes. However, luxury properties are rare there and display very high prices, exceeding 14 euros per m² on the seafront.
The sale of the Villa Monéjan, often filmed and photographed during the presidential couple's visits, marks a turning point in their attachment to Le Touquet. But Brigitte Macron remains very attached to the city, which makes a permanent departure for another seaside destination like Deauville unlikely.
