For the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp, around fifty survivors, accompanied by international leaders such asEmmanuel Macron and King Charles III, commemorated this dark chapter of history. Gathered in front of the entrance to the camp, they denounced the resurgence of anti-Semitism in the world.

Marian Turski, 98, recalled that anti-Semitism led to the Holocaust, while other survivors, such as Tova Friedman and Leon Weintraub, warned of the proliferation of extremism. World Jewish Congress President Ronald Lauder urged never to be silent in the face of hatred, stressing the importance of remembrance.

With the number of survivors declining, organizers stressed the urgency of passing on this memory to new generations, so that the lessons of history are never forgotten.
