Several figures from the cultural world, alongside feminist collectives and associations, have launched a petition demanding the cancellation of Patrick Bruel's tour, entitled So look at 35This is a consequence of the sexual assault allegations against the singer, which he denies. The petition was launched online Tuesday evening by the Salon Féministe collective.
The text explicitly calls for "Cancel Patrick Bruel's appearance" across all the cities included in this tour. The concert series comprises 57 dates in 48 cities, spread across France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada, with performances announced starting in June.
Anna Mouglalis, Corinne Masiero, Anouk Grinberg, Alice Coffin and Pomme are among the supporters.
Among those mentioned as supporters are actresses Anna Mouglalis, Corinne Masiero, and Anouk Grinberg, journalist Alice Coffin, and singer Claire Pommet, known by her stage name Pomme. The text is also being shared by several local branches of feminist organizations, including NousToutes.
The signatories write that Patrick Bruel "He is of course presumed innocent, but how can the justice system calmly rule when the singer is performing on all French-speaking stages?"They are also calling on local feminist organizations and the municipalities concerned to mobilize. The petition reads: "We therefore invite all feminist organizations in the cities in question, all city halls that claim to defend women's rights, to cancel the celebration of an alleged abuser and to support these women who had the courage to speak out."
A mobilization already underway around a concert planned in the Manche region
Even before this petition was launched online, the feminist collective NousToutes had already called for the cancellation of a Patrick Bruel concert scheduled for July 24, 2026, as part of the Grandes Marées festival in Jullouville, Manche. The collective publicly defended this position, stating that “Thinking of the victims is not censorship. It’s decency.”.
The festival director, Pierre Betton, explained that a cancellation could not be decided simply because of the existence of a contract, while also pointing out that Patrick Bruel had not yet been tried. He further argued that such a decision could jeopardize the event financially.
Patrick Bruel is the subject of several legal proceedings, which he contests.
As a reminder, Patrick Bruel is the subject of two legal proceedings in France. One is being investigated in Saint-Malo, Ille-et-Vilaine, for alleged rape during a film festival in October 2012. The other complaint was filed in Paris in March 2026 for attempted rape and sexual assault, for events reported to have occurred in Mexico in 1997. A judicial investigation has also been opened in Belgium following a complaint filed at the end of March 2026 for an alleged sexual assault in Brussels.
On March 18th, Patrick Bruel responded to these accusations through his lawyer, Christophe Ingrain. According to the latter, the singer had not "never sought to coerce anyone into a sexual act" et "claims to have never overridden a refusal, never forced into a sexual act or relationship."
