Miss MGI International Vanessa Pulgarín hailed as a heroine in Colombia: the triumphant return that puts Fátima Bosch to shame

Vanessa Pulgarín She returned to Colombia like a long-awaited queen. At the airport, images show a dense crowd: phones held aloft, cameras pointed at her, Colombian flags, shouts, smiles, a surge of enthusiasm… A true homecoming. The Colombian returns with a historic title: she has become the first winner of MGI All Stars, the new competition launched by the Miss Grand International organization. She won the first edition in Bangkok on May 30, 2026, against 55 other candidates from the world of beauty pageants.

Vanessa Pulgarín, a coronation transformed into a national welcome

The video circulating on social media shows an arrival experienced as a moment of collective pride. She walks through a wall of fans and media, surrounded, filmed, and applauded. The image is powerful: a Colombian queen welcomed publicly, without hiding, in direct contact with those who came to see her. Vanessa Pulgarín had already represented Colombia at Miss Universe 2025 and reached the semi-finals, before going on to win the first crown in the competition's history at MGI All Stars.

The stark contrast with Fátima Bosch

The comparison with Fátima Bosch is immediate. Where Vanessa Pulgarín enters to cheers, Fátima Bosch had experienced a much more discreet return to Mexico City. Her arrival showed a clear desire to avoid questions and media exposure, after the cheating that marred her election as Miss Universe 2025. Her crowning took place in an edition heavily marked by controversy: irregularities, departures of judges, public tensions with competition officials and a climate of distrust around the organization.

Two crowns, two images

On one side, Vanessa Pulgarín: face uncovered, crowds surrounding her, a warm welcome from the public, Colombian flags, visible fervor. On the other, Fátima Bosch: a discreet return, media discomfort, questions avoided, a defensive image. The comparison is stark. Vanessa Pulgarín appears carried by her public. Fátima Bosch, on the other hand, had given the impression of a contested and illegitimate queen.

A heroine for Colombia

Vanessa Pulgarín's homecoming demonstrates one thing above all: her title was received as a national victory. Colombia welcomed her into the spotlight. In the world of beauty pageants, what happens after the crowning is just as important as the victory itself. And in this respect, Vanessa Pulgarín has just made a bigger impact than Fátima Bosch, with the image of a queen who is acclaimed, recognized, and celebrated as a heroine.
