Jared Leto accused of sexual assault: 10 women testify

Jared Leto is facing a new series of particularly serious accusations. Ten women testify in the documentary. Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark SecretThe documentary, broadcast on Wednesday, July 29th by the BBC, features nine women who publicly tell their stories for the first time. Four women accuse the American actor and singer of sexual misconduct that could constitute criminal offenses. They were between 16 and 19 years old at the time of the alleged incidents, which reportedly took place between 2002 and 2016. Jared Leto was between 30 and 44 years old at the time.

A 17-year-old girl describes an assault in a motel

A woman named Isabel in the documentary claims to have met Jared Leto in 2002, when she was 17 and working in a Las Vegas boutique. After showing the actor and his friends around, she says she was invited to join him at a motel. The teenager recounts that Jared Leto asked her to go into the bathroom while he was showering. He then allegedly opened the curtain, began kissing her, and then grabbed her hand to masturbate.

"I don't think many words were exchanged. He opened the shower curtain and started kissing me."she recounts. The young woman claims to have panicked before managing to leave the room.

She claims to have had sexual relations with him when she was 17.

A second woman claims to have had a sexual encounter with Jared Leto at his California home when she was 17 years old. The actor was 34 at the time. She maintains that she told him her age before they had sex, but alleges that he downplayed the issue. In California, the legal age of consent is 18. If the allegations are substantiated, this encounter could therefore be considered a criminal offense. "That didn't seem to be a major concern for him."she claims. She also says that Jared Leto asked her to call him " dad " and to behave as "a little girl".

A 19-year-old woman recounts being threatened in a hotel room

A former model claims to have met Jared Leto after a Thirty Seconds to Mars concert in London in 2013. She was 19, but allegedly told him she was 17 to protect herself. According to her account, Jared Leto replied: "Age is just a number, and anyway, we're in Europe." She was then allegedly taken to a dark hotel room where she found herself alone with him. The young woman recounts asking for money or a phone charger so she could leave. When he refused, she suggests sleeping on a lounge chair. Jared Leto then allegedly tells her again that she might wake up "with a dick up the ass"Frightened, she claims to have immediately left the room.

Alleged sexual calls to a 16-year-old girl

A fourth woman claims she was approached by Jared Leto when she was 16. She accuses him of using his celebrity to gain her trust before calling her regularly. During these calls, the actor allegedly asked her intimate questions, made sexually explicit remarks, and propositioned her. The young woman now believes she was manipulated by a man over 40 years old. She was reportedly offered a non-disclosure agreement to prevent her from speaking about her relationship with Jared Leto. She refused to sign it. The document was examined during the investigation conducted for the documentary.

A sexual remark made to a 14-year-old girl

Another woman, named Taylor, recounts meeting Jared Leto in 2005 at a festival where Thirty Seconds to Mars was performing. She was 14 years old at the time and wore braces. When it came time to sign her t-shirt, the singer allegedly chose to write directly on her chest before telling her, "You have a nice pair of breasts." He then reportedly asked his bodyguard to escort her backstage without even asking her permission.

Four other women reported sexual calls

Four other women claim to have received calls they considered strange or sexually explicit when they were teenagers or very young. In total, ten women agreed to testify in the documentary, regarding alleged incidents spanning a 14-year period. Several testimonies were compared with accounts from relatives to whom the women say they confided at the time. Photographs and text message exchanges also reportedly corroborate certain encounters or communications with Jared Leto.

Former employees describe their unease

Two men who worked with Thirty Seconds to Mars for several years recount feeling uncomfortable with Jared Leto's behavior towards very young female fans. They claim that some teenage girls were invited backstage, to his dressing room, or to the house where the band recorded. "I think everyone felt the age difference was far too significant.""One of them testifies."

Jared Leto has not responded to these new accusations.

Jared Leto has not responded to requests for comment regarding the testimonies presented in the documentary. No criminal charges related to these new allegations have been announced at this time. In June 2025, nine other women had already accused the actor of inappropriate sexual behavior. Some claimed to have been minors at the time of the alleged incidents. His representative formally denied all of these accusations, calling them false. The new testimonies have not yet been examined in court, and Jared Leto has not been convicted of any offenses related to the events depicted in the documentary.
