A new development occurred this Wednesday in the Milan investigation into an alleged escort network operating within the nightlife scene. According to HANDLE et The newspaperSeveral names of players who have played for clubs such as AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus appear in a list of keywords used by investigators to analyze seized phones and devices. Olivier Giroud, Achraf Hakimi, and Jérémy Menez are also among the names listed, although no direct link to the events has yet been established and none of these players are currently facing criminal charges.

Four people placed under house arrest as part of the investigation

The case took on a new dimension following an investigation opened by the Milan prosecutor's office and conducted with the Nucleo di polizia economico-finanziaria (Economic and Financial Police Unit) of the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Financial Police), which led to four people being placed under house arrest. The individuals targeted are suspected of having played a central role in an illicit organization linked to the exploitation and promotion of prostitution. Several Italian media outlets, including Corriere della Sera, Repubblica and La Gazzetta dello SportThey present the company Ma.De. as the structure at the heart of the case, described depending on the case as an event agency or concierge service.

No player is currently under criminal investigation.

All Italian media outlets agree on one point: the players whose names appear in these documents are not, at this stage, the subject of a criminal investigation. La Gazzetta dello Sport It is worth noting that the players' names were redacted in the arrest warrant and emphasizes that none of them are presented as having committed any offense. The technical documents still need to allow investigators to establish the true scope of the case and to verify, on a case-by-case basis, what constitutes a simple mention in the communications or a possible use of the "extra service" referred to in the documents.
