It just keeps going! Patrick Bruel is facing two new complaints for rape and sexual assault.

Patrick Bruel is once again implicated in a sexual assault case. Two women have filed new complaints against the singer, one for sexual assault and the other for attempted rape. Both complaints were filed with the civil party status of the plaintiffs in Nanterre. This procedure aims to obtain the appointment of an investigating judge and to reopen the investigation of the alleged events.

An alleged assault during a massage

The first complaint concerns events that allegedly took place in July 2019 at a spa near Perpignan. The complainant, a massage therapist at the time, accuses Patrick Bruel of non-consensual sexual acts during a massage session.

The second complaint concerns older events, dating back to the spring of 2010, at the singer's home in Neuilly-sur-Seine. This time, the complainant alleges attempted rape.

These two women had already initiated legal proceedings in the past. The cases opened at the time were dismissed in December 2020 due to insufficient evidence to pursue the matter.

A new legal step

Filing a complaint with a civil claim changes the scope of the case. Unlike a simple complaint, this step can lead to the referral to an investigating judge, tasked with independently investigating the alleged events. At this stage, no convictions have been handed down. Patrick Bruel remains presumed innocent. The singer denies the accusations of violence, coercion, or brutality.

The accusations are piling up

These new complaints follow other accusations against Patrick Bruel. For weeks, nearly 30 women have testified or initiated legal proceedings for alleged acts of sexual violence, spanning periods ranging from several years to several decades.
