Two judicial investigations have been opened in Paris following complaints filed by the Foodwatch association against the Swiss giant Nestlé Waters (Vittel, Hépar, Perrier, etc.) and Alma (Cristalline, Saint-Yorre, Courmayeur, etc.)

The complaints concern Nestlé's treatment of mineral waters, which allegedly used banned microfiltration systems to maintain the "food safety" of its mineral waters, while continuing to sell them as natural mineral waters. Foodwatch is calling for exemplary sanctions and a trial to establish responsibilities.

The Foodwatch association also accuses the French authorities of having accepted these illegal practices despite recommendations to the contrary, and is calling for the recall of the bottles due to the health risks raised by Anses.
