France Inter: Ali Baddou is expected to be removed from the weekend morning show

After three seasons hosting France Inter's morning show, Ali Baddou is not expected to be retained in the fall. His co-host, Marion L'Hour, is also reportedly affected by this decision, which has not yet been officially announced by the station.

The morning show duo is not expected to be renewed.

Ali Baddou is expected to leave his position as host of France Inter's weekend morning show. The journalist has co-hosted the program with Marion L'Hour since 2023. Both are reportedly affected by the planned changes to the public radio station's upcoming schedule. This decision comes a few months after Céline Pigalle's appointment as director of France Inter. Having taken over the station on March 2, 2026, she is preparing for the 2026-2027 season and the necessary adjustments to the programming schedule.

Criticism of the show's preparation

Ali Baddou's work has reportedly been the subject of internal criticism. He is being accused of insufficient preparation for the morning show, arriving late before it went on air, and having an incomplete understanding of the program's content. A difference in his level of involvement compared to Marion L'Hour has also been noted. The journalist is said to arrive several hours before the start of the morning show to prepare the various segments, while Ali Baddou arrives closer to the broadcast.

Interviews deemed difficult to follow

The way interviews were conducted was also called into question. Some interviews were considered difficult to follow on air, particularly when the two presenters frequently interrupted each other. These repeated interruptions reportedly created tension within the duo and disrupted the flow of discussions with guests. The division of speaking time between the two journalists became one of the main points of contention.

This behavior is also contested.

Beyond the preparation and presentation, Ali Baddou's professional conduct has reportedly been criticized by several members of the editorial staff. He is accused of sudden outbursts of irritation and an attitude deemed irregular. At this stage, France Inter has not officially announced the departure of Ali Baddou or Marion L'Hour. However, the change in presenters is expected to be one of the major changes for the station's upcoming fall season.
