The essayist and editorialist on CNews, Guillaume Bigot, is now a candidate under the banner of the National Rally for these anticipated legislative elections.

A few days before the first round, he confided to our colleagues at Valeurs Actuelles in these terms: “There is an incredible rupture between the people and the elites”. His goal ? Recreate broken trust between the local community and institutions.

It is in the colors of Jordan Bardella that the lifelong sovereignist is once again engaging in the political battle he left 20 years earlier: "My last political engagement dates back to 2002. At the time, I supported Jean-Pierre Chevènement's candidacy in the presidential election (5,33%), then I myself was a candidate in the legislative elections in the eighth constituency of Yvelines." Not convinced by the offers of the political landscape, he leaves the game for the television sets, before his big comeback.

Facing him in the 2nd constituency of the Territoire de Belfort, a dissident Les Républicains (Didier Vallverdu), 2 left-wing candidates, a regionalist and the presidential majority.

Former favorite land of Jean-Pierre Chevènement, Guillaume Bigot is determined to overthrow the outgoing rebellious deputy. Accused of parachuting by his competitors, he benefits from very high scores in the municipalities of his constituency in the 2024 European elections. The hypothesis for Guillaume Bigot of sitting at the Bourbon Palace the day after July 7 is therefore not impossible.
