Eric Ciotti on Sunday called on right-wing voters to join the alliance between the UDR and the National Rally and to support Marine Le Pen for the 2027 presidential election. The mayor of Nice believes that the right must "no longer waste time" in the face of the country's situation.
In a message published on X, the president of the UDR defends a "true alliance for change" with the RN. "I tell right-wing voters not to waste any more time, because our country no longer has the luxury of wasting it," he writes, thus reaffirming the strategy of rapprochement with Marine Le Pen's party that he has been advocating for several years.
Ciotti denounces Macron's "illiberalism"
Éric Ciotti also attacks the presidential camp, which he presents as the main current threat to civil liberties. Referring to the debates surrounding a possible ban on the X network or criticisms targeting CNews, he believes that "our democracy is in danger" and accuses Macronism of drifting towards a form of "illiberalism".
