Nearly 30 countries will be represented Thursday afternoon at a follow-up meeting devoted to support for Ukraine organized by France, we learned from the entourage of the French Minister of Foreign Affairs.
A total of “28 countries are represented, including 21 at ministerial level by their Minister of Foreign Affairs or their Minister of Defense,” it was specified.
This meeting will take place from 16 p.m. to 18 p.m. local time by videoconference (15 p.m. to 17 p.m. GMT), Stéphane Séjourné's entourage also specified.
It follows the international meeting in support of Ukraine, which was held in Paris on February 26, at the initiative of the French President. Emmanuel Macron.
The countries will work on eight projects on Thursday: munitions, destocking principles, cyber, border protection, protection of vulnerable states, mine clearance, industrial production on site in Ukraine and the “9th coalition” on missiles, it was announced also specified.
Among the participants will be the Ukrainian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense, the head of Polish diplomacy, the Italian Minister of Defense while Germany, which will be represented by a Secretary of State, according to the same source.
France insists on the need to redouble its efforts to support Ukraine to defeat Russia. She also highlights the need to help Ukraine's neighboring countries.
On Friday, the head of French diplomacy will travel to Vilnius for a joint meeting with his counterparts from the Baltic countries as well as with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba.
On Tuesday, he met his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock in Paris.
