The French Entrepreneurs' Meeting (REF) opens this Wednesday at Roland Garros in a climate of unprecedented political uncertainty. On the eve of the event, MEDEF President Patrick Martin warned the political class against any further instability: "We don't play with the economy. When capital sees that France isn't solid, it goes abroad, and investments don't happen."

Businesses paralyzed by political chaos

The bosses' boss denounces a "deleterious" climate that has prevented businesses from investing and hiring for nearly three years. Between the political crisis in France and international tensions, Patrick Martin warns: "Our European neighbors are moving forward. If we remain immobile, we will regress." For him, it is urgent to restore visibility and confidence to allow entrepreneurs to revive growth and restore public finances.

At a time when François Bayrou's government is playing for its political survival, Patrick Martin calls for "preserving institutions as anchor points" and reiterates that the priority must remain the real economy: the ability of French companies to invest, export and create jobs.
