Macronist deputies, grouped under the banner “Together for the Republic” (EPR), formerly known as Renaissance, are meeting this Tuesday to discuss a strategic text with a view to potential political partnerships. This document, called the “action pact for the French”, is designed to serve as a basis for dialogue with other political forces.

A pact structured around six themes

Since the early legislative elections, the former presidential majority no longer has a relative majority. To govern effectively, EPR seeks to establish alliances with other parliamentary groups.

The idea of this pact was initially proposed by Gabriel Attal, recently elected president of the parliamentary group. The text brings together several proposals around six main themes:

Everything must respect three fundamental principles: budgetary responsibility, France's inclusion in the European project, and the fight against climate change.

An evolving draft text

According to Gabriel Attal's entourage, this text will be enriched by discussions within the group, then during talks with other groups of the former presidential majority, notably Horizons and Modem.
