The American President's envoy Donald Trump Hostage Affairs Secretary Adam Bühler said Sunday that meetings between the United States and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) regarding the release of hostages held in Gaza had been very helpful.
Bühler did not rule out further meetings with Hamas.
According to Reuters, Buehler said in an interview with CNN that he believes a breakthrough could be made regarding Gaza in the coming weeks, without giving further details.
In a separate context, he said he did not know whether American journalist Austin Tice was still alive in Syria.
