The Israeli military announced on Saturday that an air force plane had targeted a "Hezbollah" fighter who was working to "rebuild a terrorist infrastructure to direct (Hezbollah) terrorist activities" in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the Israeli military added that it would continue "to work to eliminate threats to the State of Israel and prevent any attempt at reconstruction and repositioning of (Hezbollah)."
Earlier today, Lebanese media reported that one person was killed in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle in the south of the country.
The Lebanese National News Agency also reported that the Israeli drone targeted a car in the southern Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil.
Yesterday, Friday, the Israeli army had already announced that it had struck "military sites" belonging to "Hezbollah" in southern Lebanon, specifying that it had identified "storage sites for military equipment and rocket launching platforms."
The army spokesman confirmed in a statement that the presence of these weapons in the sites in question represented "a threat", and that the army "would continue its actions to eliminate any threat against Israel and prevent the... repositioning of (Hezbollah) in the region".
The ceasefire agreement signed on November 27 ended more than a year of clashes between Hezbollah and Israel, including two months of devastating war. Despite its entry into force, Israel continued to carry out strikes inside Lebanese territory.
Israel also barred some residents of Lebanese border villages from returning home and continued direct strikes, shootings, low-altitude drone flights and the dropping of sound bombs.
