François Hollande will be in Nice for the tenth anniversary of the July 14, 2016 attack.

Former President of the Republic François Holland will participate in the commemorations of the tenth anniversary of the Nice attack, which took place on July 14, 2016. He confirmed that he would be present to pay tribute to the 86 victims and the 458 people injured in this attack which struck the Promenade des Anglais.

François Hollande confided that this attack remained "undoubtedly the most painful period" of his five-year term. He also felt that this tragedy had allowed the country to demonstrate unity in the face of terrorism, recalling that "we stood together in Nice as elsewhere."

A tribute ten years after the attack

On July 14, 2016, a truck speeding into a crowd gathered to watch the Bastille Day fireworks triggered one of the deadliest attacks in recent French history. The attack left 86 dead and 458 injured, plunging the country into mourning.

The ceremonies planned in Nice will mark the tenth anniversary of this tragedy. They will bring together the families of the victims, elected officials, state representatives, and several prominent figures, including François Hollande, who intends to once again pay tribute to the victims and commend the city's resilience.
