Investigators from the financial crimes unit visited the Élysée Palace on Tuesday, April 14, as part of an investigation into the awarding of public contracts related to official ceremonies. The information, revealed by the satirical weekly Le Canard enchaîné and confirmed by AFP, concerns event services awarded to the same company, Shortcut Events.

According to available information, the investigations focus on the organization of entry ceremonies at the Pantheonand more specifically on the conditions under which these contracts were allegedly concluded. The events under examination date back to the early 2000s, between 2002 and 2004.
