According to “Politico”, the outgoing president of the European Commission is increasing her attempts to seduce the Italian head of state to obtain her support and be re-elected.
Thus Ursula Von der Leyen reportedly tried to delay the publication of an official report from Brussels on the rule of law citing the erosion of press freedom in Italy. Based on the confidences of two officials that the publication of this report, scheduled for July 3, would have been postponed at his request until the appointment of a successor to the Commission.
