The investigation into the death of a 17-year-old boy stabbed to death on Saturday at a campsite in Villevaudé has revealed a particularly trivial motive. According to the Meaux prosecutor's office, the case stemmed from a young woman's persistent refusal to accept the suspect as a contact on the social network TikTok.

The investigation established that a phone argument had broken out a few hours before the tragedy between the suspect and a close friend of the victim's girlfriend. During this tense exchange, the murdered teenager allegedly grabbed the phone and demanded that the other person come to the Capfun Le Parc campsite in Paris to explain themselves.

A knife wound to the chest

According to prosecutor Jean-Michel Bladier, two young men went to the scene on Saturday evening. The victim was reportedly first beaten before being stabbed. The autopsy confirmed that he died from a stab wound to the chest.

The main suspect, a 17-year-old, was arrested a few hours later at the emergency room in Bondy, where he had presented with a hand injury. He admitted to investigators that he had delivered the fatal blow, while maintaining that he had not intended to kill. The prosecutor's office requested that he be formally charged with premeditated murder and remanded in custody.
