Elias's murder: "My son was murdered by predators known to juvenile court judges. The justice system is mocking me."
Elias's murder: "My son was murdered by predators known to juvenile court judges. The justice system is mocking me."

Appearing on BFMTV this morning, the mother of Elias, a 14-year-old boy killed in Paris after an attack outside a football stadium, denounced the refusal to meet with the magistrates who had been investigating the two minors involved before the tragedy. Faced with what she describes as an institutional wall of resistance, she now asserts that she no longer wants to ask, but to demand answers. "It's not a request anymore, actually, the requests are over. It's over, our child is dead, he was murdered by predators. By predators who were known to the juvenile court judges."s”, she said.

" VSThe high magistrates despise us«

Elias's family is demanding a meeting with the juvenile judges involved in the case of the two minors. According to the teenager's mother, this dialogue is being denied to her by senior magistrates. “Today, we oppose the decision of these high magistrates who, ultimately, despise us. From contempt, revolt is born. Therefore, today, we are a united family. We move forward with strength and honor. And we will demand that this meeting take place.”she asserts. Despite this anger, she clarifies that the magistrates involved are not publicly named. "We continue to be respectful. We are not naming these judges, we are not throwing their names to the wolves."

"They are protecting their corporation"«

Of the three juvenile judges involved, one reportedly wanted to meet with the teenager's relatives, according to Elias's mother: "Of these three juvenile judges, one expressed a desire to meet with us. She said: 'I would really like to meet Elias's family. Because I would like, first and foremost, to have a human conversation.' And that was refused." These high-ranking magistrates are protecting their own interests. And they thought: "Oh no, not at all. No dialogue, no meeting. When in fact, it would be so simple."

Reports starting in 2021

The two minors' legal history was reviewed during the interview. They were first reported for theft and carrying a weapon in 2021, then brought before a judge in 2023. On September 22, while on probation, one of the youths reoffended with aggravated assault, kicking and punching a victim. A court hearing was then scheduled for four months later. The guilty verdict hearing was postponed, notably due to a judge being on sick leave. In total, nine months had elapsed, instead of the maximum three-month period mentioned during the interview.

The repeat offense of October 27, 2024

Elias's mother then corrected a point in the sequence of events: according to her, on October 27, 2024, the two minors allegedly reoffended together: "The other two, the ones who would murder my child, the other two reoffended together, and the juvenile judge, on October 30th, when she met with them, said: you are prohibited from having any contact with each other."

This no-contact order is at the heart of the family's grievances. The two teenagers lived in the same building. When questioned about this proximity, Elias's mother explained that she had gone there to understand how such a measure could have been decided under these circumstances.

"They could see each other from their windows"«

"It seemed so unthinkable to me that I went to that residence, especially since Elias died at the foot of that residence.", She says.

The stadium where Elias played was nearby. According to the teenager's mother, the two minors involved had a pre-established modus operandi. "They are repeat offenders. I think that ultimately, the term 'predator' is quite accurate, since in fact, they always use the same modus operandi. There are two of them, they go and terrorize minors, most often near this stadium. So, they come down from their homes, and bam, they steal a phone, a down jacket, a scooter."

Upon arriving at the scene, she said she herself noticed the proximity between the suspects' residence and the place where her son was killed. "I needed to, finally, upon seeing the place where Elias died, the place where I lay next to him, the place where I have remained physically lying since January 24th, I realized that their residence was next door, and that they could see each other from their windows."

" Of this contempt, our revolt, or even our revenge, will be born.«

Elias's mother insists that she is not seeking to harbor any principled hostility toward the justice system. Her complaint concerns the silence directed at the family and the lack of meetings with the relevant magistrates. "I don't want to feel hatred or animosity toward the justice system, but today, by not responding to us, by not meeting with us, it is the justice system that is showing us contempt," she declares. Then comes the final warning: "And from this contempt, I remind you, will be born our revolt, even our revenge." And we can only understand her…
