The Nanterre public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation following several reports concerning suspicious advertisements posted on Vinted, the online resale platform. The Office for Minors (Ofmin) is currently conducting initial checks. Internet users have spotted advertisements for toys, plush toys, and figurines offered at very high prices, which they consider abnormal. A video posted by an influencer, which has gone viral on social media, lists several of these advertisements, which she suspects may be a form of code used by pedophiles.

Users of the platform alerted the authorities after noticing that some children's items were listed with unusual descriptions and prices. These reports were taken seriously enough to trigger a preliminary investigation. The National Police were notified of this content, which was deemed concerning. The controversy has grown in recent days, fueled by social media where many users shared their findings and expressed their concerns.

Vinted, the very popular app for selling secondhand items, has found itself at the center of a sensitive case. Investigators will have to determine whether these unusual listings are actually part of a criminal activity or simply a misinterpretation by concerned users. The Office for Minors, specializing in combating crimes against minors, is tasked with clarifying the true nature of these posts and identifying any potential perpetrators.
