Exactly one year after reaching the summit of Everest, Inoxtag continues to climb the ladder. Since Wednesday, May 21, his documentary Kaizen, which retraces his preparation for and ascent of the world's highest peak, has been available on the Disney+ platform. The film, produced by IDZ Prod (Webedia Group), is available in some thirty European countries, as well as in North America and Oceania.
With its 2 hours and 26 minutes of immersive storytelling, Kaizen had already enjoyed colossal success upon its September 2024 release on YouTube, garnering nearly 44 million views. The film was also screened in theaters, attracting 340 viewers in previews, before being broadcast on TF000 and its TF1+ platform.
“A great moment in my life”
On Instagram, Inoxtag celebrated this new broadcast by recalling the symbolic date of May 21: "I will think about it all my life because it was a year ago that I was at the top of Everest with the whole team. And for the occasion, a big surprise: Kaizen on Disney+."
The creator, who has millions of subscribers, also shared a playlist of his favorites available on the platform, including Lilo and Stitch, One Piece, Avengers, and Bref 2.
The term Kaizen, which means "change for the better" in Japanese, sums up the spirit of the project. Upon its release, Inoxtag noted that it was inspired by the adventure documentaries broadcast by National Geographic, also available on Disney+. The film is intended as much as a physical performance as it is a testament to self-improvement.
A success beyond streaming
While details of the agreement between Disney+ and Webedia have not been made public, this release marks a new milestone for the documentary, which had already broken all records on YouTube France when it was first released. Inoxtag, who had no prior mountaineering experience before taking on this challenge, thus confirms his status as a key figure in online content in France.
A personal feat that became a collective phenomenon, relayed even to TikTok, where half-serious internet users claimed to "stop breathing so he could get more oxygen" at the summit. Now on Disney+, Kaizen continues its journey, combining humor, emotion, and human adventure.
