Catherine Laborde, TF1's iconic weather presenter for nearly three decades, died at the age of 73, her family announced on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Originally from Bordeaux, she had left her mark on generations of viewers by hosting the channel's weather reports between 1988 and 2017.
Her last bulletin, broadcast on January 1, 2017, was filled with emotion and gratitude. She declared: "Will you forget me? I won't." After leaving TF1, Catherine Laborde devoted herself to her passion for theater and also wrote columns in various media.
In 2018, she revealed that she had Lewy body dementia, a neurodegenerative disorder that combines symptoms of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. In her book To shiver, she courageously shared her fight against this disease, while saluting the unfailing support of her husband, Thomas Stern.
