Brigitte Bardot spoke in a telephone interview with our colleagues at BFMTV. At 90 years old, one of France's last living legends discussed her daily life, her view of death, and of course, paid tribute to Alain Delon.
After experiencing an episode of respiratory distress in 2023, the actress assured BFMTV "wonderfully"From her home in La Madrague, Saint-Tropez, she confided that she felt in great shape: “I have an incredible temperament, difficult to extinguish. I am very lucky!”
Although she turned her back on cinema in 1973 to devote herself to animal rights, Brigitte Bardot claims to be still very active. Every afternoon, between 13 p.m. and 18 p.m., she says she takes time to write and " to work " : “I answer my mail, I handle important animal files. Every day!” On the other hand, my mornings are like those of any woman who takes care of her house."
Death, a “deliverance”…
In her interview, Brigitte Bardot also spoke with emotion about the loss of her lifelong friend, Alain Delon, who died last August. "His death devastated me. I miss him terribly. We shared the same feelings. I have no one left. They are all gone."
Despite the loneliness that now accompanies her, the former actress says she is happy with it: "I've given up on a large part of humanity. It has disappointed me too much. I'm afraid of what the world is becoming."
Finally, Brigitte Bardot addressed the topic of death. As she approaches her 91st birthday, she doesn't fear it: "Death has always been a part of my life. I'm not afraid of it. When I look at the world as it is today, I find that dying is almost a release."
