Julien Doré will ultimately not be performing in the United States this spring. The French singer has had to cancel the five dates scheduled for his "Juju en Amérique" tour due to administrative difficulties related to work visas. This decision was announced on March 21 by his producer, who cited unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.
Unsuccessful efforts despite anticipation
Arachnée Productions, the company organizing the concerts, officially announced the cancellation via an Instagram story. They explained that "the failure to obtain work visas for our touring teams in the United States" made it impossible to hold the shows. The statement also emphasized that all necessary steps had been taken beforehand, without success.
The five concerts were scheduled to take place in early May in several major cities, including Washington, New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. In light of this situation, the organizer assures that all purchased tickets will be fully refunded and acknowledges "the disappointment of the many attendees."
Canadian dates maintained, a still solid tour
While American fans will have to wait, those in Canada will be able to see the artist on stage. The concerts scheduled for Montreal on April 29 and Quebec City on April 30 are confirmed; the administrative restrictions only apply to the United States.
Julien Doré's European tour continues without a hitch. The artist, who rose to fame on Nouvelle Star, has already drawn over a million spectators across more than 120 dates, making it one of the biggest solo tours in France. A guest on the show Quotidien in late November, he explained that he wanted to offer the audience "two hours to forget a little about the day," asserting his desire to "do good" for those who come to listen to him.
