The Techno Parade will return to the streets of Paris on September 19, 2026, after a two-year hiatus. Technopol, the event's long-time organizer since 1998, announced the return of the major electronic music gathering following its cancellations in 2024 and 2025.
The 2024 edition was cancelled due to the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, while the 2025 edition was abandoned for financial reasons. Technopol explained at the time that it was encountering significant difficulties in securing private partners capable of financing the event.
Paris will have its floats and DJs back in 2026
The association is now promising a "renewed and ambitious" 2026 edition to champion the place of electronic music in public spaces. Technopol states that it wants to use this return to reignite the debate surrounding independent scenes, free parties, and support for French electronic music culture.
Created in 1998 at the initiative of Jack Lang and inspired by Berlin's Love Parade, the Techno Parade has become one of the largest electronic music gatherings in Europe. The last edition, held in 2023, attracted nearly 400,000 participants to the streets of the capital, a record according to the organizers.
The exact route for the 2026 edition has not yet been officially announced, but the parade is expected to once again cross several major thoroughfares of Paris with sound systems, DJs and after-parties in the capital's clubs.
