This Sunday evening, Entrevue will be providing live coverage of the municipal elections. Throughout the evening, we will be publishing the results as they come in from cities across France.

In Saint-Denis, the second largest city in the Île-de-France region, LFI candidate Bally Bagayoko won the mayoral election in the first round with 50,77% of the vote. The LFI-PCF list significantly outpaced the incumbent Socialist mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, who received approximately 33% of the vote. This victory marks a major political shift for this large Île-de-France city of around 150,000 inhabitants, a historical stronghold of municipal communism that switched to the Socialist Party in 2020 and is now one of the main municipalities governed by the far-left, Mélenchonist movement.
