Ukraine and Saudi Arabia have concluded a defense cooperation agreement, paving the way for future contracts, investments and the sharing of military technologies.
The announcement was made by the Ukrainian president. Volodymyr Zelensky, on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he is due to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
This agreement aims to strengthen the defense capabilities of both countries, particularly through cooperation in protection systems and military technologies.
Kyiv has offered to share its battlefield expertise, particularly in the areas of air defense and drones.
“We are ready to share our experience and systems to protect lives,” said Volodymyr Zelensky.
This rapprochement comes in a context of recomposition of international alliances, marked by tensions in the Middle East and the war in Ukraine.
For Saudi Arabia, this is about diversifying its strategic security partnerships.
For Ukraine, this agreement represents an opportunity to strengthen its diplomatic influence and secure new support.
It also illustrates the growing importance of defense technologies in international relations.
This cooperation could therefore be long-term, as global security challenges continue to intensify.
